Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies begin life as single pushchairs, although some models can be converted to accommodate the seat of a second person or carrycot using adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). There are also models allow you to add a ride-on board for older children who would like to walk, but need some assistance.
If you're looking for a lightweight alternative that's ideal for city streets, check out the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to maneuver, and it has a large basket with lots of storage. It can be used to accommodate twins as young as birth and accept two car seats or an infant carrycot and seat. However, the seats have to be facing forwards, and there's not enough space for a shopping bag under, so you'll need a sidepack to do this.
If you're looking to go off-road, the Mountain Buggy Duet is a good choice. It's a side by side with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy on the market. This allows it to squeeze through doors that are narrow and on public transport, and allows you to climb up and down kerbs without much trouble. The iCandy Orange double buggies are among the most well-known available. This is due to their superb comfort.
